Communication specialists to design the updated SBC protocol

Pact Cambodia is part of the Pact development INGO founded in 1971 and works in 40 countries. Pact aims to create thriving, resilient and engaged communities leading their own development. Working in Cambodia since 1991, Pact has supported Cambodian civil society and strengthened the capacity of institutions run by and for Cambodians to end poverty and injustice.

Pact is one of implementing partners of the 4 years Promoting Healthy Behaviors (PHB) Project. In late 2020, Pact as one of PHB partners supported NCHP to identify areas in which they want to further strengthen their department. NCHP produced the “Protocol for the Development and Use of Behavior Change Communication Materials in Health” in 2008 (referred to as ‘The SBC Protocol. This protocol has provided guidance to SBC and health practitioners at all levels – national, provincial, operational district, health center, and community. NCHP has expressed the need to revise/update the existing protocol “Protocol for the Development and Use of Behavior Change Communication Materials in Health”, with the support of the PHB project.

PHB will provide technical support to NCHP to Update the existing SBC Protocol to make it more practical and responsive to the new dynamic, technological, and social context of the health sector in Cambodia, and Provide training to NCHP key staff on how to use the updated SBC Protocol.

PHB Project is now seeking individual national consultant or National Organization for “Communication specialists to design the updated SBC protocol and audiovisual training modules for health practitioners”

The solicitation is issued as a public notice and open to registered entities, and/or individual consultant, with established activities in Cambodia. Consideration will be given for offerors who can work in collaboration with a team member who is in Phnom Penh, or in other provinces of PHB target locations. These eligibilities to ensure that all interested, qualified, and eligible entities with expertise and experience of the above topics have a fair opportunity to submit a “Company Profile or CV and Cover letter indicating relevant experience with similar projects together with itemized cost proposal”
